We’re going to have to collectively pay the price for a bunch of high-risk lending to a bunch of people who shouldn’t have been buying houses in the first place. Those chickens have come home to roost and they’re shitting up the place. No “tax rebate” free money giveaway to the same irresponsible population is going to stop that train from rolling until it’s done.

As for your question, what I wrote was a response to his last sentence, which said in different words that this stimulus package is not going to stop any upcoming economic downturn. Surely you agree with that also.
