Remember when the first amendment guarantee of freedom of religion was more important than the right of abortion that five out of nine Supreme Court Justices made up in 1972?

Yeah those were the good ole days.

Now I personally think it is stupid for a hospital not to administer an emergency contraceptive to a raped woman. I myself don’t have any moral objections to it. But some religious people do, and to force a religious hospital to do this, when it is a clear violation of its religion amounts to a clear violation of the first amendment. At one time the constitution meant something.

Hopefully a federal court will strike down that horrible constitutional violation.
