No big surprise in South Carolina tonight. The Clintons got the defeat they needed to convince white Democrats that Obama is just another Jesse Jackson. Yes it looks like the black affinity for President Clinton may have finally come to an end. Should anybody be surprised though that the Clintons took this route? It’s like this Democrats. You trusted a snake. When the snake bit you, you acted surprised. But isn’t that what snakes do?

David Oatney- Barack Obama won the South Carolina Democratic Primary yesterday. When he did so, the Clinton reaction reminded me of two things. The first is why I think the Clintons are singularly wicked people. The second is why I am proud to be a Republican.
Fore Left- The left finally has a candidate who comes closer to the JFK vision than do the Clintons, which has allowed a purifying ray of sunshine to creep into the room. We can only wonder if it’ll kill the vampires.

I was both born and high during that time, and the press, for the most part, was pretty kind to Bill. Of course he was hit hard during Lewinsky-gate, but he brought that on himself.
