McCain Finally Ahead In Delegate Count
AC Kleinheider has posted the total delegate count up to this point. Before yesterday, Romney had been leading and this is the first time that McCain has led so far. In spite of that, the media have been pouring their adorations on “the Democrats favorite Republican”, basically crowning him the nominee. We have a long way to go though folks. McCain still needs 1,000 delegates to win this thing.
I understand the criticism of Romney, by people like SayUncle, but you all have to understand that this is a two man race now. Like it or not, Mitt is the best option.
I am not a paleo-con, but check out this comment at VV from somebody who is.
Paleocons better get behind Mitt Romney at this point, whether they like him or not.
….McCain would be a “Bush-on-steroids”, much worse than George Bush.
Interesting.
I am torn. Really torn. I know I will need one of these:

McCain, Romney, Obama, or the end times.
I have friends who like Mitt. McCain might be able to win. Obama is preferable over the end times.
I see the economy as a push with the three in consideration. So in the end it is who you trust to defend the country. Both internally and externally.
A little help? I haven’t pulled the lever yet.
McCain is not a friend of liberty. He loves government too much. Obama is also not a friend of liberty, but he is more against economic liberty than personal liberty. Of course there is no personal liberty without economic liberty. Obama doesn’t know this though, so obviously he is a better person.
Romney is all over the place for sure. I see him more as a manager and less of an ideologue. Not my kind of leader, but better than an authoritarian or a doctrinaire liberal. Like I said before, I prefer principles over pragmatism, but when those principles are bad principles, I’ll take the pragmatism.
I hear you Glenn, but what about national security? I will wait. Currently it is McCain 51/49 in my choice. I will wait until the polls close Feb. 5th. It’s too important.
Big movement:

I hate those polls, due to the fact that Republicans always fall in line, instead of fall in love. As for foreign policy, McCain was right about more troops, but I am afraid that crazy SOB will have us fighting wars all over the place.
