Berkley, free speech center of the Universe

There is no shame in Berkley.

Apparently the people on City Council were stoned when the Constitution was being taught in Junior High School. In fact not only are they ignorant of the Constitution, they give a special parking place to Code Pink so it is easier to protest against those they disagree with.

But when the big earthquake comes will they accept help from the National Guard? Or will they stand by their principles?

Hey-hey, ho-ho, the Marines in Berkeley have got to go.

That’s the message from the Berkeley City Council, which voted 6-3 Tuesday night to tell the U.S. Marines that its Shattuck Avenue recruiting station “is not welcome in the city, and if recruiters choose to stay, they do so as uninvited and unwelcome intruders.”

In addition, the council voted to explore enforcing its law prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation against the Marines because of the military’s don’t ask, don’t tell policy. And it officially encouraged the women’s peace group Code Pink to impede the work of the Marines in the city by protesting in front of the station.

In a separate item, the council voted 8-1 to give Code Pink a designated parking space in front of the recruiting station once a week for six months and a free sound permit for protesting once a week from noon to 4 p.m.

I wish we could saw that part of California off and let it float to the sea.

#9, your link needs some attention I think. I can’t get it to work (well, I’m stingy about cookies, and my NoScript was zapping at it too, so it might be my fault…)

    Oh, Code Pink

A paragraph or two down from the blockquote contradicts that Code Pink is there because of the military enforcing Bill Clinton’s gaybaiting policy.

In related news, WKRN’s most famous quitter couldn’t turn her hot little computer off to run down there and help Code Pink out.

Could you even find it on an unlabeled map?

Gosh, you mean a liberal has a job, and they, like, expect her to work?

    My mind is blown, meathead.

There’s a difference between working and activism.

Besides, shouldn’t you be encroaching on the Beaver Queen’s mound and smelling newscoma’s farts or something.

Nobody seemed to mind mixing and matching the two here.

Reprinting press releases for Code Pink through the communist front group “World Can’t Wait” and encouraging people to get on down to participate.

I’m guessing she would prefer getting paid…

Yea, we’ve got to work on that.

Um… I doubt she’s able to live in SF (~2.6x more expensive housing, compared to 37209, anyway) unless she were getting paid, and paid well… with that mad, Soros-sponsored MSM money, too, HA-HA!
