Pimping Out Chelsea
February 8th, 2008 . by glendeanWhy is it that the media continues to play into Hillary’s hands by giving her the gift of apparent gender bias? I keep going back to this article, written by Kathleen Parker of the Washington Post, which explains exactly what not to do when speaking of the first serious female candidate for President. In spite of those truths, which have also been pointed out by others, male media members continue to slip up.
You know, I am not a fan of Hillary Clinton, but there is no doubt that the mainstream media is biased in favor of the candidacy of Barack Obama. It’s hard to blame them though. He is a fresh face, and new to the national scene. He also has the ability to inspire people with his speaking, not that his speeches have a lot of substance though.
As for David Shuster’s comments, I don’t see them as being that big of a deal. Television pundits say a lot of words everyday. Sooner or later they are bound to say something they regret. Still though, it was a huge gift for Mrs. Clinton, and a really dumb thing to say.
