A bunch of Hollywood leftists on an awards show hosted by John Stewart? Are you kidding me?

    First of all, it’s Jon with no “h,” and secondly, what have you got against him? Even most of the conservatives I know love The Daily Show, and about the only political humor Stewart included in the Oscars gig involved picking on the audience for how overwhelmingly Democratic they are.

    For what it’s worth, that Oscars broadcast was one of the more tolerable ones in recent memory.

    If you took away the Coen Brothers movie, this one would have been a stinker of Jennifer Lopez proportions.

    I can only recall one instance of my watching the Oscars within the past 20 years: 1993, when Clint Eastwood’s film Unforgiven won best picture.

But like the Little Engine that Could, the glitterati keep chugging along. After all, we, the hoi polloi, just don’t understand fine cinema the way they do.

    Hollywood is just a collection of self-centered leftists for the most part. And to change the Oscar ratings next year or after would mean a change in attitudes in Hollywood, something that’s just not going to happen.

    McDonald’s sells millions more burgers every day than Red Robin, too.
