Buzzardly: Al Gore rushes to feed on Cyclone Myanmar’s victims

Tennessee’s proud of you, Al.

Saturday, May 3, a cyclone strikes Myanmar (Burma), with a storm surge that floods and overwhelms the Irrawaddy River’s delta. Today, sources say the death toll may reach 100,000

Only a handful of U.N. aid workers had been let into the impoverished Southeast Asian country, which the government has kept isolated for five decades to maintain its iron-fisted control. The U.S. and other countries rushed supplies to the region, but most of it was being held outside Myanmar while awaiting the junta’s permission to deliver it.Entire villages in the Irrawaddy delta were still submerged from Saturday’s storm, and bloated corpses could be seen stuck in the mangroves. Some survivors stripped clothes off the dead. People wailed as they described the horror of the torrent swept ashore by the cyclone.

Tuesday, May 6, Al Gore is on NPR, blaming Global Warming for the storm. From Business & Media Institute…

Using tragedy to advance an agenda has been a strategy for many global warming activists, and it was just a matter of time before someone found a way to tie the recent Myanmar cyclone to global warming. Former Vice President Al Gore in an interview on NPR’s May 6 “Fresh Air” broadcast did just that. He was interviewed by “Fresh Air” host Terry Gross about the release of his book, “The Assault on Reason,” in paperback.

Great timing, Al. You worry less about U.N. aid to the victims and more about promoting your lies and agenda. And your stupid book. More Gore…

“And as we’re talking today, Terry, the death count in Myanmar from the cyclone that hit there yesterday has been rising from 15,000 to way on up there to much higher numbers now being speculated,” Gore said. “And last year a catastrophic storm from last fall hit Bangladesh. The year before, the strongest cyclone in more than 50 years hit China – and we’re seeing consequences that scientists have long predicted might be associated with continued global warming.”

Actually, Al, no

In October 2007, CNN Meteorologist Rob Marciano disputed Gore’s claim that there is a strong correlation between intense storms and global warming. He explained that “global warming does not conclusively cause stronger hurricanes like we’ve seen,” pointing out that “by the end of this century we might get about a 5-percent increase.”

Al, the real inconvenient truth is that you are an asshat.

I really hope the Democrat’s Superdelegate daddies select Al Gore to run this year. Because the only way to get this arrogant prick to STFU is another humiliating Presidential defeat.

And that might not work. There’s always lost causes waiting for these sorts of self-indulgent windbags.

Promotes Global Warming theory before the dead are buried or the aid flows. That’s our Al Gore.

    Try again…

    1) Al Gore won in 2000 by a half million votes
    2) Gore was merely quoting the scientific community - “we’re seeing consequences that scientists have long predicted might be associated with continued global warming.”
    3) Marciano is a wingnut denialist - certified. He’s on the list of 46 broadcast denialists

A list? How very McCarthyist of you.

And I’ll point out this post where you slam serr8d for hammering on a tired story. You even called him “pathetic”.

And now you drag out the 2000 “Al Gore won the popular vote” meme! Talk about tired! Typical “do as I say not as I do” liberal BS.

Regarding the future affects of global warming…. “I take great comfort in knowing that they don’t know what they are talking about, because history takes a long time for us to reach.”

Glen, I appreciate very much your patience and the great desire to allow all viewpoints on this TennesseeFree.com blog. The First Amendment is one of our greatest rights.

But at this time I have to be concerned if William is mentally whole. In all seriousness, he has a “list”? That cannot be a good thing.

My concern is that his many delusions cast an unfair and unreasonable light on those of us that are not delusional or in great denial.

Will the readers comment? Is William a reasonable person? Do his views provide a voice on TennesseeFree.com that you find of value?

I hope I can make your list, William.

Not that William is a bad sort. I think he probably consumes a bit more of the Sarpa Salpa fisheads than he should.

That, or just a bad case of campus liberalism. Just be glad he’s not from Columbia University.

    But…is there an opening there?

    ;D
