Every adult should be forced to use a ‘carbon ration card’ when they pay for petrol, airline tickets or household energy, MPs say.
The influential Environmental Audit Committee says a personal carbon trading scheme is the best and fairest way of cutting Britain’s CO2 emissions without penalising the poor.
Under the scheme, everyone would be given an annual carbon allowance to use when buying oil, gas, electricity and flights.

The more I see the more I think this country took a bad turn when we let the NEA have so much power over the schools. We have a lot of very foolish people in this country. Useful idiots would be a more apt phrase.
Over here the extremists liberals are thrilled with high gas prices and the glut of large homes that are not selling. They see people returning to the city and riding the bus. That is their visions of prosperity. And they wish to inflict that “prosperity” on everyone.
Extremist liberalism is a cancer. A cancer of the mind. It isn’t about letting people achieve their potential, it is about dragging people down to a even level of equalness. It isn’t about empowerment it is about depowerment.
Let me go on record in opposition to carbon rationing. Taxing the shit out of it? Sure. Rationing it, no.

What’s to prevent “captialism” the way you’d like to see it from reverting back to fuedalism? As I’ve said many times, capitalism and socialism work best when they are in tension with one another. When one gets too much of an upper hand over the other, the results are remarkably similar, despite their seeming opposition to one another.
