How Bushie authoritarians deal with the release of McClellan’s book: under the bus he goes
Doc at the Autopsy (aka Captain Brainstorm) and I had a discussion about McClellan’s new book when excerpts were first made public last November.
Here is a textbook example of how Bushie authoritarians resort to abject denial when facts are confirmed that upset their delusional world, Doc comments on McClellan:
He certainly knows how to sell a book. Throw out an unsubstantiated bomb like that, and watch as the liberals run out and snatch up the book. If it was just a book about how he was a good little soldier of the Bu$hitler, he’d sell maybe 14 copies. But put a juicy little blurb in there about Bush’s treason, and you’re guaranteeing some big sales.
What’s the most annoying aspect of the whole thing is the sudden belief in McClellan by the rabid left.
Right Mikey… only the “rabid left” would believe the Bush Administration ever did anything dishonest. I found this level of denial such a fine case study for the Bush-cult authoritarian movement that I did a post on Doc back then. Of course he throws Scotty under the bus. From my earlier post:
You’ve heard about this level of authoritarianism. “Doc” is a stunning example. Denial is an essential part of the culture of authoritarianism as clearly documented in the case of Bush. The demonization of all enemies (i.e. :”the rabid left”) is another clear aspect of the psychological profile of religious right wing authoritarians.
Yea… none of it is true, he just stabbed his old boss in the back, a sitting president, just for fun and to sell books.
William, someone should do a study on you and similar BDS sufferers.
Wait, they already did.
Play it again, Sam.
William’s upset that I school him on a regular basis. This is not any different. Read all the comments over at my post and at his excuse for a blog and you’ll see he can never support his allegations. Not a surprise, really.
What allegations? I report you decide. So Doc, YOU refuted what Scotty said… instead of showing us the evidence for YOUR assertions, you predictably try and swiftboat ME. I am not the issue here. YOU and your fellow Bushie delusional denialist/apologists are the issue and your method of operation.
William, you are “reporting” the articles of others, it’s just that your analysis (or lack thereof) or your reason for posting these articles is without sufficient regard to other things.
Trying to borrow Fox News’ tag line in an attempt at mockery while presenting a skewed set of facts is hardly unbiased. It is sad. You should be embarrassed, but you simply don’t know any better.
By the way, “swiftboating” someone is saying that someone is baselessly attacking your personal credibility to weaken the effect of your stone-cold facts. Nothing could be further from the truth in your case. Why? Because you don’t have any credibility.
We keep giving you wide-open opportunities to gain some, but you never present any “facts”, so swiftboating is probably not the best term for what’s happening to you.
We’re actually attempting to mock you into presenting credible facts (some are just mocking you). So far you’ve just proven yourself a minstrel show turned on its ear; a modern liberal lampoon. The lefty Dwight Schrute.
Come back when you’re ready to debate facts and are willing to stop declaring your swiftboat martyrdom. You flatter yourself too much, William.
The purpose of this post is to show how Bush loyalists (like Doc) can disregard any and all evidence damaging to the president, even from inside sources as reliable as that of McClellan, a Texas Bush loyalist who was trusted and made his career from his loyalty, not his qualifications. The same method of swiftboating that the White House is now engaged in against McClellan we’ve seen used against all other former Bush staffers that have come out and talked.
holy shit. these people like captain weakbrain should be fucking ashamed, not only for their stupidity, but for their mental disorder to follow a leader who has been proven time and time again a lying scoundrel. thanks for pointing out this mental disorder. if you look at drudge, he titles his post on this ’scott the snitch’. to bush cult members, the fact that he betrayed is far more important than telling the truth about what happened.
shame on assholes like captain, glendean, serr8d, number 9, will go to their grave supporting this lying administration because they are under some illusion that we were being lied to for our own good. if thats not authoritarian fascism, i don’t know what it. they are party to the downfall of america. what a fucking disaster, what a disgusting bunch of sickos.
Oh Lord.
I’m starting to think that William and JT Effin are really conservatives posing as wackjobs to make the left look bad. They have to be jokes.
I dunno Glen,
If one does support the Bush administration’s Iraq policy it seems that one would have to believe that either they aren’t lying, or that its a good thing they are; in which case the implication of authoratarian fascism seems reasonable.

Yeah. It gets harder every day to defend the indefensible… drip, drip, drip. You reckon that has anything to do with the low morale in the GOP these days?
