A great example of how conservative media works - Fox News

A NY Times article pointed out the fact that while Fox News is still #1, it’s growth is declining while other networks are advancing in viewership at a much faster rate:

The overall prime-time audiences watching CNN and MSNBC, by contrast, have each grown by more than 50 percent this year, when measured against the same period last year, while Fox’s has increased by 10 percent, according to Nielsen.

How does Fox respond? By smearing the journalists that wrote the story: calling them “attack dogs” and altering their photos to make them look bad. And this is supposed to be a ‘news channel?’ “Fair and balanced”

Such cheap smear shots are how Fox News manipulate their viewers and attack those who point out inconvenient truths. Caught red handed…

Note to William, FOX is not conservative.

And liberal tv stations and newspapers don’t do the same thing all the time.

It’s also easy to have your viewership jump up 100% if you only have 1 viewer and much harder to have a 50% increase in viewers when you’re already on top. There are only so many viewers after all.

Obviously, we’re not dealing with a math professor here.

    Brian:

Fox News is on top among cable news only. The networks still kick its ass. So it’s not entirely accurate to say they’re “on top.”
