“Barack Obama is a passionate politician who is fixated on — and takes very seriously — his desire for a better world. … For those who witnessed his appearance in Berlin, it is hard to imagine that John McCain has any chance.

Europe is witnessing the 44th president of the United States during this trip. Anyone who listens to him realizes that he is not only ambitious but will also make demands. In the inner circles of Angela Merkel’s Chancellery, he is reportedly seen as a pleasant person, one who arouses curiosity.

George W. Bush is yesterday, the Texas version of the arrogant world power. Obama is all about today …”

    I don’t much care that Der Spiegel says this, even though I agree with their prediction.

    I’m thinking of moving to Ohio for the rest of the year, to work the election.

    You should pull me over, if you are the psycho cop. No, really.

    The silver 2004 Yamaha Vino that I regularly ride in Charlotte Park/West Nashville/Midtown on a daily basis, as you know, has no license plate. You can probably get that citation past your supervisor, at a minimum.

    And we can finally meet!
