Dja hear about Obama’s church … er, pastor … er, favorite artist?
Hey have you heard rapper Ludacris’ ode to Barack Obama? Some lyrics from Ludacris’ “Politics as usual”:
Said I handled his biz and I’m one of his favorite rappers
Well give Luda a special pardon if I’m ever in the slammer
Better yet put him in office, make me your vice president
Hillary hated on you, so that bitch is irrelevant. . . .You can’t stop what’s bout to happen, we bout to make history
The first black president is destined and it’s meant to be
The threats ain’t fazing us, the nooses or the jokes
So get off your ass, black people, it’s time to get out and vote!Paint the White House black and I’m sure that’s got ‘em terrified
McCain don’t belong in any chair unless he’s paralyzed
Yeah I said it cause Bush is mentally handicapped.
Folks love to talk about how “smart” rappers are. If he was smart, and if he really wanted Obama to be president, Ludacris would have kept these “clever” hip hop ideas to himself. And I love the irony of a forced-rhyming, grammatically-challenged rapper calling someone “mentally handicapped.” I also love the irony of Ludacris accusing ANYone else of being racist.
But, don’t let the man keep you down, Ludacris! Speak your mind, bro!
Also at wisdomisvindicated.
I had a rare opportunity to listen to Glenn Beck yesterday evening. Glenn did a rousing reading of lude-boy.
No audio, but here’s the transcript linky.
Rusty: Does this matter? If so… why?
.
I call on McCain’t to renounce the lyrics of Trent Reznor, of Nine Inch Nails. He claimed to be a big fan just a scant few years ago.
Silly, silly bullshit.
.
Check out Mr. Speech Impairment during a live (no teleprompter) talk.
No wonder he won’t debate John McCain.
No wonder he won’t debate John McCain.
He will. He’s setting the agenda, because he can. This will all become clear to you, soon.
.
But Rusty… let’s stay on topic.
You had a golden opportunity to use Tipper Gore’s PMRC bullshit to make a commentary here, and you FAILed.
FAILed.
You’re not very sharp. That’s why I call you Rusty, Rusty.
.
Forced rhymes? Yeah OK, he’s not the best rapper.
Grammatically challenged? Uh, no. This is rap, not a cover letter. No one be trying to impress some ignorant honky with their intelligence by demonstrating a command of standard English.
But it would be a grave error to assume that Bush is mentally handicapped, he knows exactly what he is doing. This is very, very important to understand.
he knows exactly what he is doing. This is very, very important to understand.
Yes, that is the “intent” element in your war crimes trial . . . got it.
I wasn’t singling out Ludacris . . . ALL rappers force rhyme . . . ALL rappers be using bad grammar.
Why does it matter? Did I mention how much of a racist Ludacris is?
Dude,
We don’t need the PATRIOT act. We don’t need the Military Commisions act. We don’t need a Protect America act, or any of the other totalitarian bullshit your wanna be fuhrer has fostered upon us.
We have the U.S. Constitution, it has protected Americans for the entire history of our countery. It is the only “protection” we need, thank you very much.
We don’t need a Department of Homeland Security. This is the home of the brave, the American people can look after our own security, thank you very much.
We, The People, are going to send the Bush/Cheney junta to prison and restore the rule of law, by any means necessary.
You betcha, HBK!!
Tell us about totalitarianism, HBK . . . you and yours wouldn’t know (and haven’t known throughout history) a dictator if he bit you on the butt.
And JP hasn’t cared to respond, but what exactly is the consequence or penalty for violating the fourth amendment, HBK?
We, The People, are going to send the Bush/Cheney junta to prison and restore the rule of law, by any means necessary.
I gotta say, I was impressed by Vincent Bugulosi’s BookTV appearance, today. Catch it on repeat or the web, if you can.
.
And JP hasn’t cared to respond, but what exactly is the consequence or penalty for violating the fourth amendment, HBK?
What, you’re gonna try that bullshit, again?
Simply: What is the consequence or penalty for following the FUCKING LAW, counselor?
Christ… here we have an attorney, who had no respect for the FUCKING LAW. Wanna bet he defends some swimming pool equipment manufacturer against claims that their defective product sucks out the intestines of 5-year old children?
.
Hair triggered on this Lord’s day, JP?
Another Bugliosi book? That guy must be really rich. What’d y’all think of the one about JFK’s assassination?
But, re. the 4th Amendment, why won’t you answer the question? Care to take a stab, HBK? Nonetheless, you’re a moral relativist, JP (though rather moralistic about it). Why do you care about what the law says?
Serr8d,
As far as “speech impairment,” I don’t think that clip is an example of that, because Obama was trying to speak while people (a handful in particular) were shouting out stuff that we couldn’t hear over the mic in Obama’s hand. I perceive he didn’t want to step on their words or seem like he was shouting them down.
That being said, it was interesting to note how skimpy Obama’s list of accomplishments was on the issues raised . . . all of them were references to his time in the Illinois state senate. In all fairness, he hardly had time to do much in the U.S. Senate before he needed to crank up his presidential campaign.
Why do you care about what the law says?
For one reason, mainly.
Millions of Americans have given their lives in defense of the U.S. Constitution. More than 219 years of Americans holding the 4th Amendment as an unbreachable covenant between the governed and the goverment is being coyly dismissed by your asshattery every time you bring this up. You are shitting on their graves, their sacrifice, and that of their families.
You don’t give a damn, apparently. And that is why I say you are no countryman of mine. You revolt me. You’re supposed to hold the law in higher regard than this, by ethical and professional oath, if not by patriotism.
.
blahblahblahblah that really hurts my feelings.
What is the consequence for violating the 4th amendment, JP?
Fuck you, nedwilliams.
You’re the one that has to explain why after more than 219 years, the law isn’t good enough, as-is, and that no man — not even your favorite president — is above it.
If you want me to explain the Church Commission, and why my position on this matters more than your shitting on millions of American graves, I can do that.
But fuck you, anyway, you un-American piece of shit.
.
Yikes, don’t hold back, JP. And some people have the nerve to call us “mean spirited” . . .
“[T]he Law,” that’s rich coming from a Liberal, “living Constitution”-type. It’s rarely that cut and dried, and is no more so in this instance, with or without your moralistic accusations.
Wouldn’t it just be easier to answer the question?
Wouldn’t it just be easier to answer the question?
If I wanted to lend credibility to your anti-Americanism, yes. But I don’t, you disgusting piece of shit. So, go fuck yourself, thoroughly.
.
You’re lending me all kinds of credibility by running from an argument.
You’re lending me all kinds of credibility by running from an argument.
Well, I’m glad you think so, but even brainstems like Bob Barr see the bullshit sophistry in your line of questioning, counselor.
It’s not even up to “Have you stopped beating your wife?”
You SHIT ON U.S. TROOPS, PAST and PRESENT with your bullshit.
They fought and DIED to uphold the 4th Amendment, and you stick the idea of it in your ass, and fart, mightily.
When the revolution starts, I’ll seek you out.
.
It’s not even up the the intellectual honesty of “If you do nothing wrong, you have nothing to hide.”
King George said much the same to the colonials, in 1775.
You are an abject coward, and a lowly form of life. You KNOW for a fact this shit is wrong, yet you defend it, because you respect a few men more than the law, itself, and therefore, you are no countryman of mine.
I will defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign, and domestic.
.
Well, goodnight Patriot.
Will you be riding your scooter when said revolution happens?
Wow, you’re trying to engage in a discussion now?
JP,
Since you’re afraid to answer the question (or don’t know the answer to the question), the answer is . . . nothing. There is no constitutional consequence for violating the 4th Amendment. The Warren Court decided that we would exclude (from use in a criminal trial) any evidence obtained in violation of the 4th Amendment, but that’s really not applicable here, is it?
And it’s not even clear (got it Living Document Boy?) that someone who is talking to someone (WHO IS NOT AN AMERICAN CITIZEN) and who is IN ANOTHER COUNTRY has a REASONABLE EXPECTATION to not have their conversation or communication intercepted.
Save your namecalling and foul language for someone who’ll be impressed/intimidated, JP. But how very “American” of you to threaten someone who disagrees with your views.
Dja hear that Obama is having to distance himself from his favorite rapper?
that’s really not applicable here, is it?
Of course not. The most likely violations of citizens’ rights in this regard involve extortion and intimidation/terroristic threatening/under color of law.
You know this. Fuck you, again. Go fuck yourself to death, please. Just do it.
.
JP,
I am still hopeful we can do this without a full on revolution.
But if not, you know whose side I’ll be on in the “you’re either for us or against us” department.
I encourage every patriot to exercise their second amendment right to organize and/or join a well-regulated militia, just in case.
Ned, no one gives a fuck about Obama’s favorite rapper, or your legal sophism. We, The People, are taking our country, i.e., our Constitution, back.
Ned,
You seem to think this is some kind of political discourse, or debate. You seem to think this has to with political ideology or Republican vs. Democrat.
This has nothing to do with politics. This has to do with the fact that millions of Americans are waking up to the fact that we are once again facing the “times that try men’s souls.”
JP is right, yours is failing.
This thread is a keeper. JP taught HBK a new word: “sophism.”
Talk about cowards . . . you guys better get out of your pajama pants and DO SOMETHING!!!!
you guys better get out of your pajama pants and DO SOMETHING!!!!
Your mistake is that you believe we aren’t, right now. That’s how I like it, personally.
.
Yikes, you’re not going to come and citizen’s arrest me for conspiring to violate the 4th Amendment (aka not thinking that Dubya is guilty of treason for signing the Patriot Act), are you?
Which reminds me of something I meant to say earlier . . . no, I’m not sure that I would have initially dreamed up Clinton’s or George W. Bush’s administrations’ ideas for acquiring intelligence or that I would have initially been convinced that they were consistent with the 4th Amendment, but I also am not threatening a Second French Revolution (to include People-We-Just-Don’t-Like or People-That-Needed-Killin’–you two guys, in particular, ought to be alarmed by such an ethic).
See ya’ at the next Blogger Meet-up . . .
See ya’ at the next Blogger Meet-up . . .
Yeah, I’ve seen you at dozens of the previous ones!
.
Actually, I learned the word “sophism” from reading Aristotle.
One clue might be if he announced that “If this were a dictatorship, it’d be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I’m the dictator.”
A little foresight from 1944 at which time fascism was a clear and present danger.
Thanks to the elimination of the fairness doctrine, all of the conditions have finally been met. Fascism is once again a clear and present danger.
I am not “threatening” anything. I am standing up for my Constitution by publishing the fact that the current government is unlawful and calling my fellow citizens to lawful action.
Hmmm, where does the “Fairness Doctrine” fit in with your revolution again? I guess you revolutionaries don’t care so much about “shredding” the First Amendment?
And you do such a fine job of PR for Blogger Meet ups, JP.
Who said the fairness doctrine “shreds” the First Amendment?
Excuse me, who owns the air waves? We The People.
Not that it matters to you, but I am sure the founders did not intend the First Amendment to protect what you might call bearing false witness, or lying, in plain simple English.
You see, as flawed as they were, the founders were concerned with matters of honor. Now they’re gone and the bastards are running amok, perverting the written Constitution with legal sophistry in order to perpetrate crimes on the order of Stalin, Hitler, Mao, the worst of the worst.
Again, we are not starting a revolution, we’re stopping one.
