Poll Watch: McCain, Obama Now Tied In CBS Poll
In this very same poll last week, Obama was ahead by eight points.
(CBS) The presidential race between Barack Obama and John McCain is now even at 42 percent to 42 percent, according to a new CBS News poll conducted Monday-Wednesday of this week. Twelve percent are undecided according to the poll, and one percent said they wouldn’t vote.
This is in contrast to a poll conducted last weekend, where the Obama-Biden ticket led McCain-Palin by eight points, 48 percent to 40 percent.
This poll was conducted from Monday to Wednesday. It will be interesting to see the polls taken after the convention.
CBS is Barry Obama’s poll.
Palin kicked ass. Hippie ass.
Gotta figure too that this poll was completed prior to her speech. This thing is going to be close, no matter what. We’ll see lots of movement between now and then.
Jeff G. posted on that Rasmussen poll William touted yesterday. Pretty much sayin’ that the bounce that counts is at the ballot box, baby.
Rasmussen, a GOP leaning poll has Obama +5 and Gallup +7. Both have more than triple the sample size of the CBS Poll.
Serr8d is right, the poll that matters is the electoral college which strongly favors Obama. Obama could lose OH, FL, VA, and NC and still win the presidency. If McCain loses just one of those 4 tossup states, he has NO chance. It looks very bleak for the old guy .
