Barack Obama calls Sarah Palin a ‘pig’!

Obama, King of the Gaffes (handlers under the bus, now!) strikes again.

Barack Obama says the John McCain-Sarah Palin policies don’t represent change, they’re “just calling the same thing something different.”“You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig,” Obama said during a town-hall style event here Tuesday night.

This isn’t the first time in a 24-hour period that lipstick has become an issue. As he was introducing Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden, Missouri Rep. Russ Carnahan said Palin had “zero experience in national government, zero experience in foreign affairs. There’s no way you can dress up that record, even with a lot of lipstick.”

Republicans struck back, calling the attacks on Palin old-style Washington attacks that run counter to Obama’s promise of change. “Sarah Palin’s maverick record of reform doesn’t need any ‘dressing up,’ but the Obama campaign’s condescending commentary deserves some dressing down,” says RNC spokeswoman Amber Wilkerson.

Way to stay classy, Baracky.

Not the first time Barack has demeaned a woman.

HAHAHA Thats exactly what I said!

Any woman who wants to force a girl raped by her father to have the baby IS A PIG.

William, it’s expected that a low-life grub worm like you would make such a statement.

The Messiah, the purveyor of HOPE and CHANGE, not so much.

    …force a girl raped by her father…

    projecting, William?

Tell us about your family life.

Go rape your daughter. Palin want you to increase your family for jesus

What I said, with more emphasis.

What is more demeaning to a woman than forcing her to bear a rapist’s child?

Actually he was demeaning the last 8 years of Bush policies. You’re just trying to convert the word “pig” into partisan points without reference to any other part of Obama’s speech.

Although there might be an exception. Are you willing to also argue that John McCain was referring to Hillary Clinton as a pig a year ago? McCain’s exact words were, “I think they put some lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.” Was he likewise demeaning a woman?

Or was he, like Obama, actually referring to policies he didn’t care for?

That’s ridiculous. My father was raised a Republican and grew up in the depression He blamed lack of government control on letting big business run rampant. After loosing their home he and my grandfather found work through New Deal jobs and became life long Democrats.

“The crowd apparently took the ‘lipstick’ line as a reference to Palin.”

Because of the cheering, leering Democrats.

There was no mistake. Obama meant what he said. He is either a liar, or incredibly gaffe-prone.

    Both, I’d say.

That’s how Democrats gather votes. By giving away other people’s money.

I don’t know Serr8d. I think Obama’s comments were a political mistake, even a gaffe, but I don’t think he was knowingly calling Palin a pig. His remarks were still stupid, and I think the audience that cheered, associated the word lipstick with Sarah Palin, but I don’t think Obama knew why they were cheering. Dumb mistake on his part, but not what it sounded like.
