Before Bush and now
UPDATE:
AP: McCain at Political Dead End
WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican John McCain has maneuvered himself into a political dead end and has five weeks to find his way out…
You know things are getting dicey when the RNC goes on the air with an ad attacking the very bailout plan that, 24 hours ago, was the centerpiece of John McCain’s claim of economic leadership.
Are you better off today than you were 8 years ago? Is America? The Bush administration has shown unprecedented incompetence in both foreign and domestic policy.
- Before Bush — Dow: January 19, 2001: 10,587.59
- Now ———- Dow: September 29, 2008: 10,365.45
- Before Bush - NASDAQ: Jan 19, 2001 = 2770.38
- Now ——— NASDAQ: September 29, 2008 = 1983.73
- Before Bush - Dollar exchange with Euro, January 19, 2001: 1.068
- Now ——— Dollar exchange with Euro, September 29, 2008: .695
- Before Bush — National Debt: $5.727 trillion.
- Now ———- National Debt: $9.849 trillion
Bush has made the largest contribution to the national debt than any previous president in American history: more than $4 trillion
US budget deficit: deficit is annual additions to national debt.

Can you imagine being John McSame (McBush) and having to debate Obama on the economy next week… with people like Phil “deregulator” Gramm, Carly “golden parachute” Fiorina, and Marc “Freddie mac” Davis on his staff?
How about Sarah “I can see Russia” Palin debating Joe Biden with 35 yrs foreign policy experience?
Obama’s lead grows again today after polls show most thought he won the debate.
William, from the About page, which has been up from the very beginning.
I have been lax up until now, hoping nobody would take advantage. But from now on, post number six is deleted.
sorry
William, Congress, specifically, the House controls spending. Period.
Right, up until the point they are told,
“Congressman, the Vice-President’s office is on the phone”.
Because deficits don’t matter!
sorry
You should be. Everyone else follows the rules.
I am glad to see the William filibuster end. Five posts in one day should be plenty. You have pushed the envelope just like you did at NiT.
Don’t hate on the facts, Number9. Embrace them so you won’t be duped into supporting the next icon of conservative fiscal policy.
Thanks, Glen.
Christian, you can always welcome Villiam back, you know.
Or have you seen enough sinkage for a lifetime?
;D
Actually, William’s postings sometimes spur me to greater heights.
To counter the depths of his BDS and hatreds of things conservative, things good for America.
And, his hatred for the troops.
And, his hatred of capitalism
And, his generally non-humorous approach to everything he blogs (but that’s a symptom of liberalism generally, isn’t it?)
But my schedules forbid so much counter-posting time online, so I can’t counter much except on weekends.
William is a window into the shadowy mindlessness of far-lefty moonbattiness. Where else would we get the KOS/DU/Eschaton perspective? I certainly won’t go near those places.
Yea sinkage
See, William, that could’ve been approaching halfway decent, with a smidgdab of humor.
Like, this, say…
“Yea, sinkage, but Palin would call it baptism!”
(Note: I’m just giving William an illustrative example of some badly-needed humor; don’t misconstrue that remark as any negativism from me concerning Sarah Palin, whom I believe to be authentic and good for the party, given she has fired up the base, put tons of support behind John McCain that he otherwise wouldn’t have had (that will count for down-ticket wins at the very least) and caused the leftists to go stark-raving mad with reactionary verbosity that just proves that they hate women.)
I don’t see any humor in the fact that Palin could potentially be the POTUS.
Former Bush speech writer David Frum:
“I think she has pretty thoroughly — and probably irretrievably — proven that she is not up to the job of being president of the United States… Dan Quayle never in his life has performed as badly as Sarah Palin in the last month.”
Don’t hate on the facts, Number9.
This from the architect of one of the biggest blog failures in Tennessee history? NiT was your ship Christian. However, you did not go down with the ship. I haven’t forgotten the pitiful double standard you used at NiT.
In case no one ever told you Christian, you are not the decider. You are supposed to report the news, not make it.
Christian, who decides what the facts are? You and William?
Be thankful you have a job. If I want objective news I know where not to go. You couldn’t find the “facts” with a compass and a map.
Hypocrite.
See? See? You try to be halfway decent to Villiam, offer some humor, he comes back as deadpan as a pound of lard in a bucket of fish bones.
And Sarah Palin is much more qualified to be president than O!, who has never had any executive experience (unless you count rounding up and registering ignorant (and dead) Chicago voters) and don’t even get me started on Biden, who prefers Hillary to Obama anyways.
We’ve a great ticket what represents America. Except for those hard-core sO!cialists and leftists (and some Republican intelligentsia, those who aren’t conservative and I’d rather see booted out of the party anyways) who just want power at any cost, even to the point of elevating a cunning agitprop for socialism and Black Liberation Theology (the same thing really), who uses the Alinsky Narrative to try to beguile his way into power.
If he’s elected, the country’s no longer America as the founding fathers envisioned it; instead, it’ll be well on it’s way to a leftist, Marxist philosophy.
Marx my words.
Oh, and William, no matter how many polls you link, you’ll never get this reaction from me.
Give it up, son.
