Memorial Day
Greater love has no one than to lay down his life for his friends.- John 15:13.
Many people seem to confuse this day with Veteran’s Day. That’s not an entirely bad thing, really. Anytime Americans take the time to recognize the sacrifice of our active service members, it is obviously good.
But Memorial Day is not really about the living. It’s about those that didn’t come back. It’s about the grieving spouse, or the little boy who never knew his daddy. Yes we are endowed by our creator with these liberties, but without the blood of patriots, a foreign government would have surely taken them away. God bless those men and women who paid the ultimate price.
[…] Don’t forget the why. […]
Great post Glen…We are a very blessed nation…We all need to remember that freedom is not free…There have been many lives lost so that we can enjoy the freedom we have today…God Bless our troops and their families…And God be with the ones who have lost a loved one….Thank you for your sacrifice…
